Geology of Time
Designed for the poet Judith Wilde, displaying selected works from her book “Geology of Time”. The concept was evolved around the process of aging parallel to nature rather than a man-made clock. It was carried out through the depiction of tree-rings, a natural time keeping mechanism. These tree rings were ink drawings made by hand, corresponding to the poetry within. Each poem, was crafted with specific typographic style.
The final product consisted of the production of two identical books which were both bound by hand.
The book was divided into four parts: childhood, adolescence, adulthood and childhood again, because Judith described aging as being turned back into a child. And so, the sections were separated by the choice of paper and artwork.
